Public:Winder Turning with Four Motors

On a few lines we are using four motors for winder turning.

Two induction motors are connected in parallel on one sinamics motor module.

Pay special attention how the four motor encoders have to be plugged:

For each drive side (Drs) and operator side (Ops):

Encoder Motor 1 must be connected to X202 on the motor module. Encoder Motor 2 must be connected to X201 on the motor module.

ATTENTION: in July 2022 there was a wrong version identified with two synchronous motors connected in parallel. This is unfortunately a design mistake. There will be a correction in order to run this system properly. There are 2 ways to solve this problem:

  • add 2 motor modules in order to have for each synchronous motor a separate motor module
  • mechanically remove one motor on each side and use the overload capacity of the motor module and motor itself
