1 Overview[edit | edit source]

The OMR50M-R1000-SSI-V1V1B is a distance measuring device which works on the principel of Pulse Ranging Technology (PRT). It is used for position measurment by the unloader. Do not start the horizontal drive until you have made the setting below, otherwise the drive will always receive an alarm. This distance measured device is now only to show the distance in pvss, it's also like an encoder for the drive. The motors themself are operated in U/f mode and don't know their positions. If you start the drive without the settings below, the drive gets the wrong position input und cannot control the motors correct.

3 Configuration:[edit | edit source]

The following parameters must be set in the menu of the OMR50M-R1000-SSI-V1V1B. The values in bold are the default values and must be set according to the values framed in red, as shown in the following overview.

3.1 Counting direction:[edit | edit source]

At the new app type "PosUnlLaserEncMot" there is a wizard included which ask you during the scripting about the laser direction. According this wizard the encoder settings are done automatically. The wizard also inform you about the adjustment from the laser settings. Check the unloader article for this: Electric Unloader (no hydraulics)

  • Laser counting direction will be always "Forward" which is the default setting. At the laser you can always see the correct distance between laser and reflector.

At all new winders it will be the standard, that the laser faces back to the winder fances in film direction. At some customer this is not possible because they have an extra door/gate for the unloader. During scripting you get the question via the wizard. The Encoder direction are adjusted automatically in the drives.
