1 Short description[edit | edit source]
The JUMO safetyM TB/TW is a safety device to monitor maximum temperature for different sensors (PT100, PT100, NiCrNi....)
2 Electrical Connection[edit | edit source]
The relais contact 9&10 is closed under normal operating conditions. It is used to directly switch off a heating element.
3 Parameter Setup[edit | edit source]
Enter setup mode & change settings
Press "P" for two seconds and you have entered the first parameter level.
You can adjust AL, VA and DF here.
| short | description | setting |
|---|---|---|
| AL | alarm value | according to your application (e.g. 400°C) |
| VA | warning value | set to 0 (see desciption later) |
| DF | digital filter | 0.6 (default) |
In this first parameter level, press P again for two seconds and you will enter the configuration level.
| short | description | setting |
|---|---|---|
| C111 | analog input | according to your application (001=PT100_3Wire, 040=F-CuNi J, 043=NiCr-Ni K) |
| C113 | decimal place | 0 = no decimal point |
| C114 | device function | 1 = temp Limiter |
| C115 | switching action | 0 = inverse |
| C116 | normal display | 1 = measured value |
| C117 | binary input function | 1 = like reset key |
| C118 | display switch off | 0 = inactive |
| C119 | warning alarm function | 2 = interval from the limit value |
| allo | lower limit of the setting range for
limit value AL |

| alhi | upper limit of the setting range for
limit value AL |
9999 |
| offs | dMeasurement offset | 0 |
| hys1 | Limit value switching differential | 1 |
| hys2 | Warning alarm switching differential | 1 |
| C120 | Limit-value for relay switching operations | 1000 |
| C121 | Count for relay switching operations | 0 |
| C122 | 1 hours counter | xxx |
4 Binary output and relais output function[edit | edit source]
When setting C119 to "2" the warning is coming with a difference towards the alarm value. This difference is the value we set in "VA". If we set VA to "0", the binary ouput and the relais output switch at the same time at an overtemperature event. Unfortunatley the binary output resets itself, while the relais output is still in "bad" position and needs proper reset.
5 Reset Faults[edit | edit source]
Press the reset button with a suitable tool.
There is the option to use the binary input as a reset signal (C117 = 1), but it is okay having to reset the devices manually in case of a real overtemp-event.
