1 Flow sensor IFM SV7200 / IFM SV5200[edit | edit source]

The flow sensors measures the flow and actual temperature and indicates it in a display on the sensor. At a configurable switch point, an digital output will be set.

1.4 BMS Commissioning for SV5200 (2x digital outputs)[edit | edit source]

The sensor has two channel. Setup both channel equal. In case of trouble with one channel, it's fast to change to the second channel by connecting the white wire instead the black at the DI terminal.

To enable modifications or adjustments press the UP and DOWN buttons simultaneously. You will see a time- bar running.

Use the set value in the drawings as sP1.

Use 90% of sP1 as rSP1.

e.g. File:IFM SV7200 eDrwgSet.PNG

If you cannot adjust the exact value for rSP1, set the next possible smaller value. (e.g. the sensor only allows steps of 0.5 l/min, then set rSP1 to 7.0l/min in our example)

1.4.1 Setup min/max flow[edit | edit source]

The sensor has switching outputs with hystereses function.

Adjust the needed flow value for both outputs.

For example:

Channel 1:

SP1 = 40 l/min

rP1 = 35 l/min

Channel 2:

SP2 = 40 l/min

rP2 = 35 l/min

The Output will switch ON when the flow reached 40 l/min and will switch OFF when the flow is below 35 l/min.

1.4.2 Parameter settings[edit | edit source]

Go to the extended functions EF. Navigate to the configuration CFG and do following adjustments.

CFG (configuration)

ou1  -> Hno
ou2  -> Hno
uni  -> l/min
P-n  -> PnP
dAP  -> 1s
FOU1 -> OFF
FOU2 -> OFF
SEL2 -> FLOW

DIS (display)

col.F -> G1ou

The parameter col.F -> G1ou will set the flow color either green or red.

  • Green -> Flow OK
  • Red -> Flow to less

display angle Also adjust the display angle. You can turn it 0°, 90°, 180° and 270°.

1.5 BMS Commissioning for SV5204 (2x analog outputs)[edit | edit source]

Measurements are provided by analog signal 4..20mA:

ASP[1..2] - determines process value corresponding to 4mA value of the signal

AEP[1..2] - determines process value corresponding to 20mA value of the signal

Don't change these values! We use default settings for the 4-20mA Signals and all calculations are made in WinCC.

1.5.1 Sensor Settings[edit | edit source]

CFG (configuration)

uni  -> l/min
dAP  -> 1s
FOU1 -> OFF
FOU2 -> OFF

DIS (display)

col.F -> OFF
col.T -> OFF

display angle

Also adjust the display angle.
You can turn it 0°, 90°, 180° and 270°.

1.5.2 WinCC Adjustments[edit | edit source]

We only adjust warnings in WinCC. The real deactivation from drives should be always internal from inverter.

  • Temperatur Settings:
    • Temp. Alarm Minimum: 1°C for cable break
    • Temp. Warning Maximum: 45°C
    • Temp. Hysteresis: 0,5°C
  • Flow Settings:
    • Flow Minimum Warning: According electrical drawing the l/min value.
    • Flow Hysteresis: 10% of flow Minimum value.
