2.3 Check settings of the sensor[edit | edit source]

All below settings need to change for Channel 1 & 2 accordingly, if it is a 2-channel-sensor.

2.3.1 Analog output[edit | edit source]

  • Go back to “Configuration” menu (Level 1)
    • -> Configuratoin -> Analogue output
  • Verify under “An.output 1 type” (and “An.output 2 type” if a 2 channel sensor), if it is set to 4..20mA.

2.3.3 Measuring Range[edit | edit source]

  • Start Value => should be 0
  • End Value => Usually maximum sensor scale

Note the value of measuring end and insert the same at the corresponding WinCC parameter panel under “Factor * ”

2.4 Damping[edit | edit source]

  • Without damping, the display is fluctuating extremely.
    • (do channel 1 and 2)
  • After check measuring end
    • -> “Back” -> “Damping C1” => set 1s
  • Path: \Configuration\Channel 1\Measurement C1\Damping C1

(Level: 4)

2.5 Color change of the display[edit | edit source]

  • Green the act value is within range.
  • Red means it is beyond.
  • Here it is important what is set into the WinCC parameter panel (values from ET)
    • For example: in WinCC is set “warning max” or “Alarm max” to 300:
    • “Col.ch. C1 red–grn” -> set approx. 10pa lower than the expected min -> -10 (display is green when line is stopped and not blinking red-grn).
    • “Col.ch. C1 grn–red” -> set the value from WinCC -> 300
  • “Col.ch. C1 hyst” -> set between 5 and 10

Configuration is finished

2.6 Zeropoint calibration[edit | edit source]

This is usually done by the process specialist after dry-run.

2.7 USB-function[edit | edit source]

  • The device has a function to save and load the parameters.
  • With this, it is very easy to configure several devices in short time (like at the TDO annealing zones).
  • Difficult is that the device (of year 2025) just has a micro-USB port and is supporting USB-Sticks just up to 16GB (FAT23 was okay, NTFS was not tested). Hopefully in the future they will put a USB-C port, because is difficult to find an adaptor from micro-USB to USB. Connecting a PC directly is also not working.
  • The mentioned PC software 'inTouch' was also not testes yet. The parameter files can be modified with PsPad, but needs to take care what are you doing there.
