Public:Cosmotec cooling unit

Template:Infobox bms

1 General information[edit | edit source]

The Cosmotec CVE15002288000 & CVE05002288000 are cooling units especially designed for electrical cabinets. It's supply voltage is 400V AC (400V/230V transformator inside), it has one alarm contact and one remote enable contact (mostly used as a door contact).

2 Commissioning[edit | edit source]

File:Cosmotec button description.jpg

1. Turn on the supply voltage(400 V) of the AC. The display should light up with the text " OFF ". This means the AC is in standby mode
2. Press the -ON/OFF- Button. Now the display shows the internal temperature of the cabinet
3. Press the button -SET- and the button -DOWN- at the same time for a few seconds, to enter the parameter menu
4. You can now scroll through the parameters with the buttons -UP- and -DOWN-
5. By pressing the button -SET- for a few seconds you can see the value of the parameter
6. Change the value with -UP- or -DOWN- and save it by pressing -SET- for a few seconds
7. Change parameter ALU (AlarmLimitUp) to 55
8. Press the button -SET- and the button -UP- at the same time for a few seconds to exit the parameter menu
9. Deactivate HAS-alarm to avoid unneccessary alarms - see below "alarms".

IMPORTANT:

  • IPC: 30°C
  • All Others: 35°C

Take care of any bottom opening that there is not any external air inteke, because then the cooling unit is not able to cool it down!

If there are big cables it's also possible to cut the metal plates at the bottom to ensure a propper isolation.

4 Alarms[edit | edit source]

Alarm HA (Alarm high temperature) appears if the cooling unit is running already 10 minutes and still cannot cool the temperature under the alarmlimitmaximum (parameter ALU). The alarm disappears if the temperature of the cabinet reaches the cabinet temperature setpoint.

File:Cosmotec alarms.jpg

Alarm HAS means high temperature on suction probe. This probe serves to control the compressor rotation, that in case it connect with the wrong phases sequence will detect the high temperature on the compressor pipe, and stop the unit. If the compressor is working correctly and the alarm appear in any case, could be possible a problem on the probe or can be connected wrongly.

However if you need to bypass this problem, we can proceed to remove the alarm deactivating the probe following the instruction below:

- press Set + arrow down for 3 second (keep press) then release

- press Set + arrow down again for 7 second (keep press) then release

- go to the parameter B3 and enter with Set

- change the value on NU (nu) and press Set

- press Set + arrow up for escape

5 Trouble shooting[edit | edit source]

Display doesn't light up
Check the power supply of the AC (400V)
Remove the front cover and check if the diplay is plugged in

AC doesn't start cooling
Check if the door is closed
Check if the door switch is activated properly and connected properly (normally closed)
Cabinet temperature has to be 2°C (parameter HY) above the setpoint to start the compressor

Display doesn't respond
Press Button -UP- and Button -DOWN- for a few seconds. If the display shows "PON" the keypad is unlocked. If it shows "POFF" the keypad is locked. Try it again. Press Button -SET- and Button UP for a few seconds get back to the starting menu.

Disassembly of the unit (cleaning, parts replacement)
