This safety switch is used for safety gates as alternative product to the Euchner switches.
1 Electrical Connection[edit | edit source]
2 Locking and Release functions[edit | edit source]
The switch is electrically open if 24VDC are supplied to A1/A2.
Use a triangular key to release the locking mechanism and override the electrical lock.
On the backside there is an additional triangular knob which also overrides the front release knob.
So if the switch is electrically locked and mechanically locked on the frontside, but still can be opened, you need to check the backside.
3 Function of Contacts[edit | edit source]
- If the switch is mechanically and electrically locked all contacts 11/12, 21/22, 31/32, 41/42 are closed.
- If the switch is electrically and/or mechanically unlocked, but the latch is still closed, the contacts 11/12 and 21/22 are open, while 31/32 and 41/42 are still closed.
- If the latch is not inserted (== Gate is open) all contacts are open.
-->To have the same operation then before with the Euchner-Safety Gate we have to use the contacts 31/32 & 41/42. We just want to know if the gate is closed, if it is locked or not we don't care.
