1 Assignment of F-Address[edit | edit source]

ET200SP F-Modules don't have DIP Switches anymore. The F-Address get assigned in the ONLINE window of HWcfg.

  • Connect online to the CPU and make a right click on the station you want to assign:

  • Click on "Identification", the F-modules of the station start blinking.
  • Set all hooks beside "LED flashing?" and click Assign F destination address

  • If the ET200SP station is inserted as GSD file, the F-Address needs to be assigned with external software S7-FCT:

  • If the ET200SP station is inserted as GSD file, also the CRC checksum has to be calculated manually using F7-FCT:

2 Exchange of a Module[edit | edit source]

The F-Address is saved on the electronic coding plug, which remain in the BasicUnit when the module is taken out. Therefor it is not necessary to assign the Address again when changing a module. Only if the coding plug is changed too, the assignment has to be done again.

3 Passivation[edit | edit source]

A Safety Module will be passivated when there is a fault on the module or it was taken out. The Diagnostic LED will flash green to red.
The re-integration is implemented in our safety software by pushing a reset. Afterwards the station should be OK again.

4 F-DO Module[edit | edit source]

Failsafe modules make several tests during operation. It is possible that a module get a fault due to wrong time settings in the HWcfg. You should not change this values as long as you have no problems.

  • Dark Test: The signal is read back in "ON" condition. Keep the time as short as possible. If the time is too long, the actuator reacts and the output will be passivated.
  • Light Test: detects overload and wire break in "OFF" condition. The output will switch on shortly, however a inert load will not react. The light test is switched off by default.
  • Switch On Test: for short circuit detection, in "OFF" condition. Keep as short as possible, otherwise a strongly capacitive load may not be read back timely and will passivate the channel.

5 F-DI Module[edit | edit source]

  • The power supply for each channel has to be set correctly in HWcfg. If the input is supplied by a different power source than set in HWcfg, the channel gets a fault.
  • If a power supply source is not used (no channel is assigned), this source will be switched off (no power at the pin)

6 Trouble Shooting[edit | edit source]

6.1 Memory Module / Code plug[edit | edit source]

Error during assigning the profiSafe addresses. Message was "aborted". Card diagnosis says: F-address memory is not accesible.

Reason: The small round memory plug was missing.
