ME Systeme GSV Load Cell Amplifier

Template:Infobox bms

At NHY1896 one of the softdrives is equipped with a loadcell to measure force and translate the measured force into torque [Nm].

1 Load Cell[edit | edit source]

Nominal Values of the load cell (see attached datasheet in the infobox):

KM26z 1kN

1mV/V 1000N

2 Setting the amplifier[edit | edit source]

Open the amplifier like shown in the manual in the infobox and set the jumper to position "2" = 1mV/V.

A 24V input on the amplifier sets the analog output to zero.

3 WinCC parameters[edit | edit source]

The GSV amplifier delivers 10V @ FullScale, i.e. 1000N.

The load cell is mounted approximately 0.14m from the centre of the roll.

Therefore factor mul is set to 1000N*0.14m=140Nm.

FacDiv is set to the usual 27648.

The displayed torque value is negative, because the motor is actually pulling on the load cell.
