Currently BMS uses a stand-alone Preheating station for the die or filter with a flexotemp PCU24 without PNIO link to PLC (2 different PCU´s are in use: with PNIO interface and without). The XML file is seperated from the Line project file. Some special parameters have to be set in the Flexotemp Manger and / or Webinterface.
1 Parameters in Flexotemp Manager[edit | edit source]
- PCU without PNIO Interface only:
In Communication of the PCU(without PNIO Interface), set the CAN Base Address to 32. Otherwise the communication with the Control and Display Unit (BA16 or BA32) will not work.

- PCU with PNIO Interface & CANBE only:
Use WebInterface of PCU, to set the CAN Base Address to 0. Otherwise the communication with the Control and Display Unit (BA16 or BA32) will not work. For the connection of CANVTM / BA use port X1 / CAN1 only.

- Set the input type from the DIO Module from the first Input channel (crosscheck with the drawings) to digital input (Push Button at the cabinet, used for starting the zones).

- In "Inputs" at the PCU, assign the digital input to the group input.

- In group administrtation, select all used zones for the Die for Input Group P084 and Function Group P058
File:DiePreheating flexo 4.jpg
- Set for all zones P082 to "1 - Absolute reduction to 2. setpoint value
File:DiePreheating flexo 5.jpg
- Set a Heating Ramp and a maximum temperature to protect the die, since April 2020 set parameter 17 to -1 and P018 to OFF
- Switch off not used Zones
- On the Display you have to set the Can-Baud rate to 250kB / Dip 7 to ON .
- On the Display set Dip 4 to ON (only if PCU24PNIO is used, if PCU24 is used set Dip 4 to OFF).
- At the CANVTM termination jumper needs to be on ON position.
- If you are using the operating display (BA) in combination with a PCU 24/48/128 PNIO the firmware version of the display needs to be 130218 or higher.
- Now you can set on the Control Unit the Set point
Press P -> Select Zone with arrows -> Press E -> Select temperature with arrows -> Press E again
- When pushing the Start Button, all contactors will close and the setpoint is active.
- Make sure that the PCU is connected to the line network, to have online access in case of any service request etc... .
- In case of any problems with this station refer to the project from ATA/OPA/BAL which are also using this configuration .
