1 Overview[edit | edit source]

The MDO has one adjustable stretching gap and various adjustable nip rolls, some of them are powered by T&R encoTRives.

2 Streching Gap[edit | edit source]

The allowed range is mechanically limited by Nip roll 3.2 and 4.1.

There are two different guide rails:

The offset between metal block + caliper measurement and scale measurement is 49 mm (185mm guide rail => 121,6 - 72,6) or 69,5 mm (245mm guide rail => 142,1 - 72,6).

e.g. if you measure 123,2 mm with caliper and you got the short guide rail, your calibration value is 123,2 - 49 = 74,2 mm (as shown on the scale)

  • Calibration values for short guide rail (185mm):

0° => 121,6 mm (caliper) => 72,6 mm (measuring scale, WinCC) for Nip 3.2 and Nip 4.1

0° => 123,6 mm (caliper) => 74,6 mm (measuring scale, WinCC) for other Nips

  • Calibration values for long guide rail (245mm):

0° => 142,1 mm (caliper) => 72,6 mm (measuring scale, WinCC) for Nip 3.2 and Nip 4.1

0° => 144,1 mm (caliper) => 74,6 mm (measuring scale, WinCC) for other Nips
