1 connection of the high voltage plugs[edit | edit source]
According to instructions from Fa. Heinzinger the HV-cable should be grounded on both sides to avoid potential differences. Unfortunately this was not given at the line KPU, there the high voltage jack at the consumer side was mounted on an insulated plate.
A grounding at the HV plug connection from Fa. LEMO was upgraded.
2 shield connection of the HV plugs / connection of the HV cable[edit | edit source]
At the HV connections, which feed in the inductor intake unit, the shield of the HV cable is put over the internal spring dowel pin. Therefore a large wraparound-connection with the housing results:
This shield should be connected to the machine frame with grounding cable (>= 16mm²) or CU mesh tape. The other CU mesh tape, which is from the carbon brush to the pinning rack, should be connected to a common point at the pinning rack, so that it is over the housing with the shield of the HV cable connected.
In future HAH/EMF will plan grounding points on both sides at the machine rack.
3 PA-BO: instruction for welding the HV coupling on the needlepinning[edit | edit source]
delivered cable for connection between needlepinning and ARC-break. The supplied high voltage coupling must be welded on the open end of the cable.

dismantled cable for welding the bush. through wrapping the shield with electrical tape it is easier to assemble the coupling later. Attention: cut off the black carbon fiber which encloses the wire cut cleanly, otherwise there may be flashovers.
all components in that order before welding.
Be careful at welding. To make it easier fix the cable and the bush on a fireproof underlay. Attention: at too much heat generation the cable insulation can be damaged!
finished plug connection. now the coupling can be fixed with a qualified square.
