1 Usage[edit | edit source]

Fans for ozone exhaust at corona treatment stations (pullroll and coater) need to be monitored.

This device switches above a certain frequency level and signals if the motor is running.

Basic function:

Motor is not running, device signal output = false.

Motor is starting, we set a Acknowledge Output to the device.

Device Output is true for the startup monitoring time.

After the startup monitoring time expires, the output will remain true if the motor has already reached the minimum frequency.

If the motor has not reached minimum frequency, the ouput will be false.

2 DN3PD2 parametrization via USB[edit | edit source]

2.1 Parameter Settings[edit | edit source]

Software GO:Beyond needs to be installed on your laptop/FieldPG.

You need an USB cable with MINI Type B.

Depending if the parameter file already exists, you can open this file or create a new one:

Set your connection interface under Interface - choose the port you are using.

Page Parameterization:

Read device allows you to receive all parameters from the DINA unit.

Write to device transmitts the parameters to the unit.

When writing to the device you are asked for a password - leave the field empty and continue with Ok.

After a write process a popup informs you about settings in the file and active settings on the unit.

Frequencies:

fmax = 150Hz (we do not want to monitor any maximum threshold)

Select Monitoring for minimum frequency fmin

fmin = 20Hz make sure the ramp of the fan is fast enough to reach 20Hz within 20sec

Delay times:

Switch-off delay = 1sec

Switch-on delay = 0sec

Acknowledgement:

select manual (THIS IS IMPORTANT).

Start-up monitoring = 20sec

Advanced settings:

Frequency Threshold = 5,0Hz

Sensitivity = Mode 4

Save the file under a proper name, e.g. StrPurCorExf_Par.dnp under _engineering\public\sensors\dina

Note : Reset the module by disconnecting the power to the module after write new parameters to active the new parameters.

2.2 Online Diagnostics[edit | edit source]

Start diagnosis: When connected to the device the page Diagnosis allows you monitor the actual frequency as well as the status of the outputs and reset-input.

2.3 Trouble Shooting[edit | edit source]

In case the DINA device recognizes a frequency higher than the minimum threshold, the start-up monitoring time is stopped and the real monitoring is taking over.

This has been causing trouble an a G120C frequency converter with the "flying restart function" active.

The converter obviously sends out a frequency sweep during starting and the DINA devices stops the start-up-montoring time.

Start the delay time not with RunStt but with InpRun.
