1 Commissioning of Pyrometer[edit | edit source]

manufacturer: Heitronics

Typ: KT15II

The Heitronics KT 15 is a infrared sensor (4-20mA) for film temperature measuring.

1.1 Installation[edit | edit source]

  • Mdo: Drawing (only BOPP)
  • Tdo: Begin Preheating, End Preheating, Annealing (only BOPP), Neutral zone (only BOPET), End Cooling (only BOPET)

1.2 Plates for compensation[edit | edit source]

  • in Tdo at the bottom
  • black matte painted
  • with PT100 for temperature measurement

1.3 Alignment[edit | edit source]

  • Mdo: approximately vertical to film
  • Tdo: check with heitronics laser
  • use the black adaptor
  • laser point marks the center of pipe (use a paper sheet to check position, accuracy +/- 2 mm !!!)
  • laser point marks the center of plate

1.4 Watercooling[edit | edit source]

  • all pyrometers in MDO and TDO
  • maximum temperature of electronics 70 °C
  • cooling water temperature approx. 35 °C, non-condensing
  • 0.5 – 2.5 l/min
  • thermal protection switch to monitor the temperature
  • !!! Check watercooling before heat up !!! Otherwise the pyrometers can be damaged.

1.5 Purge air[edit | edit source]

  • protection against contamination
  • blowing purge air in front of the lens
  • cleaned purge air must be used (not standard system air because of contamination by oil)
  • cleaning air by a filter cascade
  • manometer setting = 4 bar
  • flow control: set flow to very small airflow (< 0,5 bar)

To set up the pneumatic filter cascade, follow this link: https://kiwi.brueckner.com/mediawiki/index.php/Public:Festo_MS..LFM

  • extension of pyrometer in TDO with a pipe
  • air flow through the pipe into the oven
  • insulation of the pipe against condensation
  • insulation all the way to the top and 10 mm longer as the pipe

1.6 Electrical connection[edit | edit source]

for example in TMX 1857

  • 24V
  • analog interface 4 – 20 mA
  • thermal protection switch
  • serial interface -> Ethernet
  • additional in TDO: Pt100
  • Ethernet interface

for example: TMX 1857 - Mdo Bus overview

1.6.1 Analog interface[edit | edit source]

  • 4 – 20 mA

1.6.2 Ethernet interface[edit | edit source]

Converter from serial interface (RS232) to Ethernet

1.7 Configuration pyrometer[edit | edit source]

Used Software:

  • EKI Device Configuration Utility 3.01
  • EasyConfig Version 3.7.5.0

1.7.1 Configuration Advantech EKI Device: EKI-1521-BE[edit | edit source]

1 Connect your PC direct to EKI Device

2 Open WebServer by tipping Standard IP Address in Browser: 10.0.0.1

If Open WebServer was not suceeded:

  • Open EKI Device Configuration Utility as admin
File:OpenEKI.png

  • Identify actual IP Address of EKI-Device

5 Change Ethernet 1 Configuration:

  • Mode: Static IP
  • IP Address: e.g. 10.18.57.147
  • Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
  • Default Gateway: 10.18.57.71
  • ...

=> Click "Save"

6 Change Port 1 configuration:

  • Type: RS232
  • Baud Rate: 9600
  • ...

=> Click "Save"

9 Device Configuration Utility: Add Virtual COM Port

File:Commissioning Heitronics EKI3.png

10 Set Virtual COM Port

  • Set Device Type (EKI-1521-BE/EKI-1521-CE)
    • You can find the device type on the sticker on the side of the EKI-device. The device type should be checked against EKI Configuration utility software. (You can connect from your PC to EKI device directly, and open the EKI configuration utility to check the device type)
  • Set IP Address 1 (e.g. 10.18.57.147 = MDO Drawing (TMX))
  • Set COM Port
  • Push Button “Map“
  • Message “System COM1 has been mapped to EKI-1521-BE Address 10.18.57.147 port 1“ is generated.

1.7.2 Establish Online Connection to Heitronics Pyrometer KT15II[edit | edit source]

1 Start EasyConfig

File:StartEasyConfig.png

2 Choose Serial Connection

File:ChooseSerialConnection.png
File:SerialInterface.png
File:Heitr Connect.png

1.7.3 Load Config[edit | edit source]

File:Heitr file load config.PNG
File:Load Config Meldung.PNG

You can find the config files in "_engineering\public\sensors\Heitronics\".

The file "MDO_Heitronics_cfg.KTC" is for the Heitronics-pyrometer in MDO, the file "TDO_Heitronics_cfg.KTC" is for all pyrometers in TDO.

1.7.4 Basic settings[edit | edit source]

Please check the settings (settings->basic settings):

  • response time: 30s for PP / 10s for PET
  • analog output: 4-20mA: 4mA => 80°C; 20mA => 250°C / 4mA => 0°C; 20mA => 400°C

Emissivity

Dependend of installation place:

  • TDO PET --> e=0,83

According to WOH these epsilon values need to be set for PP

  • MDO Stretching --> e= 0,95
  • TDO Inlet --> e= 0,90
  • TDO End of Preheating --> e= 0,94

functionality check

To check the functionality of pyrometer, please have a look at the temperatures in PVSS in production. Please check the values for plausibility.

Write down the value shown in PVSS to the protocol.

In PVSS you can find the temperatures in Overview -> Temperature -> Film Temperature ...
