The Siemens AI EnergyMeter module 480VAC/CT HF (6ES7134-6PA00-0CU0) is a compact and easy solution for energy meassurements directly integrated in a ET200SP station. All energy data is processed by the PLC.

1 General information[edit | edit source]

It is important that the secondary side of current transformers must not be grounded.

S7-software works only if Energymeter is used on a PROFINET-station; When using a ProfiBUS station the expected amount of values cannot be transferred.

2 Commissioning[edit | edit source]

  • Check phase assignment of voltage
    • Unscrew the fuses that are connecting the device to the phases one by one and check if the corresponding voltage drops to zero in WinCC.
  • Check phase assignment of current
    • Short circuit the current transformer for each phase one by one and check if the corresponding current drops to zero in WinCC.
    • For this you need to have some consumers running so that there is a current present.

Short circuit the current transformer by switching -X012
  • Make sure that Real Power is > 0 and Powerfactor is > 0.7
    • For this you need to have some consumers running that generate a load.
    • If Real Power or Powerfactor show implausible values, most likely the wiring is not correct or the load is not high enough.
    • Powersupplies which supply a grinder might show low power factors. The reason is that the grinder is only running close to its operating point, when material is fed into the grinder. Otherwise it is running with low load. In that case, check the power factor of this supply during the time when the grinder is fed with material. This may also apply to other motors, that are not always running with values close to their operating point.

3 Software settings[edit | edit source]

3.1 TIA Portal[edit | edit source]

These settings should already been done during SW creation.

Base Unit with new potential supply neccessary or with potential feed from previous module. Depending on application.

Select as Diagnostics only "no supply voltage".

User data enables us to create a specific data set containing the values that are important for us:

The current transformer ratio must be set manually >> AI3 > Input parameters, but should already be set at home during SW checkings.

3.2 Simatic Manager Classic[edit | edit source]

3.2.1 Configuration[edit | edit source]

The EnergyMeter has no Webinterface or Display. The configuration is only done in the Hardware config.

  • To change settings perform double click on the module and go to Properties
  • check voltage setting (Phase-N) and frequency according line spec

  • check the transformer settings for each phase. If no voltage transformer installed, use the default setting 230V.
