1 Adjust node number[edit | edit source]
In principle, station numbers between $01 and $FD are permitted.
However, station numbers between $F0 and $FD are reserved for future system expansions.
For reasons of compatibility, we recommend avoiding these station numbers.
Station numbers $00, $FE and $FF are reserved and are therefore not allowed to be set.
Switch 1 is always used for the high number x16 and switch 2 for the low number x1.
The node numbers has to be adjusted at ACOPOSmulti, ALM, X20 and at the PL cards of the slaves.
2 ACOPOSmulti[edit | edit source]
The numbers for ACOPOSmulti are 1-15, because every PL card can handle maximum of 15 nodes. It is also possible that are less nodes on one PL card, depending on the layout of the line.
It is only necessary to adjust the switch 2:
3 ALM[edit | edit source]
The ALM node number is always 32, -> 2 on the top (1) dial.
4 X20[edit | edit source]
The X20 node numbers always start also at 32. There will be no conflict, because the ALM is connected to a slave and the X20 to the master.
5 POWERLINK PCI card[edit | edit source]
The adjustment for a PL card is slightly different.
To set the PCI node number, adjust the switcheon each PCI card.
It always increases form right 1 to the left 5, increasing by 1.
This should be done by B&R!
Setup the values as written in the table:
| Master | Slaves | DIP switch | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Slot1 | PCI Slot: Powerlink Card (APC Master - APC Slaves via PLK Hub) | PCI Slot: Powerlink Card (APC - ACOPOS) | 1 |
| Slot2 | PCI Slot: Powerlink Card (APC Master - APC Slaves via PLK Hub) | PCI Slot: Powerlink Card (APC - ACOPOS) | 2 |
| Slot3 | PCI Slot: Empty | PCI Slot: Powerlink Card (APC - ACOPOS) | 3 |
| Slot4 | PCI Slot: Empty | PCI Slot: Powerlink Card (APC - ACOPOS) | 4 |
| Slot5 | PCI Slot: Empty | PCI Slot: Powerlink Card (APC - ACOPOS) | 5 |
The Communication to the TCP/IP World is handled via Ethernet and a separate Switch.
The IP address assignment is handled in the Automation Studio and is based on the License of each APC.
