1 RUPLAN[edit | edit source]

1.1 Component Labeling[edit | edit source]

Label Code Desciption
Plant = The code Plant is used to structure the reprensentation according to function
Location + The location code structures the entire machine according to the location of the components
Component - The component code consists of a letter to identify the type of component and a number

Each component is labelled according to its location in the electrical drawing, e.g. a contactor on page 14 / path 6 is called -K146

2 Engineering Base[edit | edit source]

2.1 structure numbers[edit | edit source]

  • A detailed description of the indicators you see on every page are described in the drawings at the following structure number

= 123

- 1 → Engineering Services

- 2 → Engineering (Planning)

- 3 → Project Engineering

2.2 Location identifiers[edit | edit source]

  • The location identifiers consist of three symbols.
  • Location identifiers from the plant are identified by an abbreviation from the German description of the location.
  • Field I/O panels and operator panels are labelled on the doors with the location identifiers as described below.
  • If additional field I/O panels are used which do not appear in the following list, they must be labelled with a unique location identifier (e.g. +W_T011D for winder).

2.7 Function index[edit | edit source]

  • Since the structure of a machine component is according to the function and not according to a combined alphabetic letter and number, as it was with the ruplan drawings, it is significantly more difficult to navigate from one page to a page from another function
  • To help navigate faster from one function to another there is a function index at the beginning of every machine component
