1 Parameter cross reference Sinamics/Masterdrives[edit | edit source]

For further details: Cross reference to Masterdrives

2.1 Commutation Angle evaluation for Linear Motors + TDO Inlet direct drives[edit | edit source]

  • Select Execute Script from SIMATIC Manager

File:Masterdrive Execute comm Script.jpg

  • The Drive Monitor will open and show you a Information box

File:Masterdrive DriveMonitor Startscreen.jpg

  • Start the Script execution

  • Follow the instructions from the Message boxes
  • Enter the evaluated values in the script

2.2 Commutation Angle evaluation for Linear Motors + Contact Roll Positioning Drive[edit | edit source]

  • Execute the script Comm_Liwind from SIMATIC Manager
  • Follow the instructions like for the TDO Inlet direct drives. During downloading the Comm_Liwind file it will be done a positioning test of the contact roll encoder. At the end of the test 2 parameters, P116 (encoder count direction) and P132 (angle offset) need to be changed into the liwind script file. Open the liwind script file by double click and change the parameters according to your results.
  • Execute the script Liwind.
  • Calibrate the contact roll.

3.1 Analog Signal between Schenck Dosing and MAsterdrive CUVU[edit | edit source]

For the speed setpoint an analog signal 4-20mA is used. Therefore you need to adjust the Dipswitch on the CUVC (default Adjustment is 0-10V)

Other applications with analog signal:

  • Extruder drives with 2 Motors: Master/Slave (old) and Master/Master (new) in each case torque value is sent from Drive 1 to Drive 2

4 Drive Monitor[edit | edit source]

The software used to connect to the drive, save/load parameters and make traces is called Drive Monitor. You can open Drive Monitor by right clicking on the object tree of the Simatic Manager to the corresponding drive. Do not forget to assign you PC as Masterdrives are normally connected through Profibus (yellow arrow).

PLC => Drive => Parametrization

File:Masterdrive Open DriveMonitor.jpg

You will see a small popup window like this:

if everything was working find you can see:

4.1 parameter upload[edit | edit source]

you can upload the parameters:

File:Masterdrive upload parameter.JPG

normally you can save the parameters inside the Simatic Manager project. From the Simatic Manager project you can export the parameters:

4.2 trace recording[edit | edit source]

you can open the trace recording window by clicking on this button:

click on the Settings... button to define the signals to be recorded, the sampling time and optionally a trigger:

File:Masterdrive trace button.JPG

after configuration of the trace close the window by pressing OK. If you want to start recording immediately without waiting for the trigger press the Go button. You will see some messages like:

filling posttrigger

loading curve1 ...

After the data transfer from the drive to the PC has been finished you will see the recorded data. You can save this recorded data by clicking on the

save as ...

button:

And you can export the data by using the same button and select Export ASCII...
