To Program Outputs and Options of SCPSD, press and hold the Template:Image(Up Arrow Icon) then press the Template:Image(Circle Icon) until Pro6 is displayed. Release all buttons and follow menu to program outputs and options. Adjust only these Parameters (All other parameters stay at default settings) .

2.1 Get SP1 and rSP1[edit | edit source]

rSP1 = Basic pressure [bar] x Speedfactor_min - 3 bar SP1 = Basic pressure [bar] - 5 bar
Basic pressure: Get from WinCC panel (see below)
Speefactor_min: Depending on the chain speed we have different speed factors. You can get these factors from the mechanics on site or from the software (e.g. FACSPDLOW = 0.75, FACSPDMID = 0.65, FACSPDHIG = 0.55). The factors differ from line to line because they depent on the chain characteristics. Choose the lowest value from the different speed factors.
Explanation
The chain tension depends on the chain length and the chain speed.
- Basic pressure [bar] = pressure factor [bar/m] x chainlength [m] + 35 [bar]
- Final [bar] = Basic pressure [bar] x Speedfactor
First, we calculate the basic pressure depending on the chain length and the chain type. For this calculation we need the pressure factor. The pressure factor is depending on the chain type and says, how much pressure is required per meter of chain. The result of this calculation can be found in the Chain Tension panel (see below).
Then we calculate the final chain tension by multiplying the basic pressure with a speed factor. The faster the chain runs, the less tension is required.
If the chain tension gets lower than rSP1 the contactor on the pressure switch will open and we get the hydraulic pressure minimum alarm. Therefore rSP1 must be set to the lowest possible chain tension that can occur in our system, which is Basic pressure [bar] x Speedfactor_min. We take a tolerance of 3 bar into account for rSP1.
When the chain tension is higher than SP1 the contactor is closed and the hydraulic pressure minimum alarm is reset. We take a tolerance of 5 bar into account for SP1.
3 Test the pressure minimum warning[edit | edit source]
- Open the 'Chain Tension' and check if the hydraulik pump is running an no warning is shown in the panel.
- Remove the plug of the pressure switch and check if a warning is visible in PVSS panel.
