1 Description

The Festo MS4/6 LFM is a device to monitor the contamination of the installed filter. It is equipped with a digital display and three buttons to set the parameters.

2 Parameter Setting

Check all settings and change output to normally closed

Always switch to the next screen by pressing “Edit”. If you need to return to the status display, hold the “Edit” key for one second.

3 Measure basic pressure

The device must be calibrated to the difference pressure of the currently installed filter cartridge.

Template:ImageStarting at the status display, press “Down” and then “Edit” simultaneously to start measuring the basic pressure

Template:ImageWhen measuring, the device displays five dots at the lower edge of the screen.
Wait a few seconds, the press “Down” and “Edit” again to stop measuring and return to normal operation

If you do not stop the measurement after 15 minutes, the device will return to the status display automatically without changing any setting.

If measuring fails, the device will display “Err”. In this case

• make sure there is no air leakage after the device

• check whether the filter is clean
• check whether the filter is of the right size

4 Reset to Factory Settings

• In case you have not more than 2 Hands, get a guy to help you a short moment
• Power Off the Filter Unit
• Press all 3 switches and keep it like this
• Power on the Filter unit and release the switches
